Advertising Disclosure

How advertising keeps Payroll Tax Calc free: Google AdSense serves the ads, personalized advertising runs only with your cookie consent, and advertisers never influence our calculations.

Ads keep this site free

Payroll Tax Calc is free to use and always will be. The site is funded by display advertising served through Google AdSense. The ads you see are provided by Google's network, not sold or selected by us directly.

Your choice controls the cookies

On your first visit we ask for your cookie consent. Advertising cookies — including any used for personalized ads — are only activated if you choose "Accept". If you choose "Reject", the Google ad script is never loaded and no advertising cookies are set. You can change your choice any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page.

Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites where the law allows. You can manage ad personalization at Google's Ad Settings page (adssettings.google.com) or opt out of many third-party advertising cookies at aboutads.info/choices.

Editorial independence

Advertisers have no influence over our calculations, tax data, or content. Every figure on this site comes from published IRS, Social Security Administration, and state revenue-department schedules — never from advertisers. We do not accept payment to alter results, rankings, or content.

Embedded widget

Our embeddable calculator widget is offered free to other websites and carries a "PayrollTaxCalc.com" attribution link. Sites embedding the widget do not endorse us, and we do not endorse them.

Affiliate links

We currently run no affiliate links. If that changes, this page will be updated before any such link appears, and any affiliate relationship will be disclosed next to the link itself.

Payroll Tax Calc

Executive-grade payroll withholding precision, computed entirely in your browser.

Methodology

Federal figures use 2026 progressive brackets and standard deductions. FICA applies Social Security at 6.2% up to the $184,500 wage base and Medicare at 1.45%, plus the 0.9% Additional Medicare Tax above statutory thresholds. State results apply each state's 2026 bracket schedule after its standard deduction and personal exemptions, with county and city income taxes included where you select a locality.

Disclaimer

Payroll Tax Calc provides estimates for planning purposes only and is not tax, legal, or financial advice. Local tax coverage includes the county and city income taxes listed in the calculator; state credits are not modelled. Consult a qualified professional before making withholding decisions.
